Starting Point

The Starting Point is designed to help young teens build a strong foundation before entering their high school years. Through mentorship, guided discussions, and interactive activities, participants focus on confidence, self-awareness, accountability, communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, goal setting, and understanding the consequences of their choices. The program encourages youth to identify their strengths, develop positive habits, and begin creating a vision for the person they want to become

The Blueprint

The Blueprint is a comprehensive life skills and career-readiness program created to prepare high school youth for a successful transition into adulthood. Throughout the 12-month program, participants receive practical training in financial literacy, budgeting, banking, credit, communication, professionalism, resume building, interview preparation, employment readiness, healthy relationships, independent living skills, and personal responsibility.

Participants are also introduced to different career paths and skilled trades, helping them explore opportunities that align with their interests and future goals. Through mentorship, workshops, hands-on learning, and community partnerships, youth leave the program with a clearer plan for life after high school and the tools needed to confidently take their next step.

The Next Move

The Next Move is where preparation turns into opportunity. After completing The Blueprint and meeting program requirements, participants are connected with Blues Truth community and workforce partners for opportunities in skilled trades, continuing education, career advancement, internships, and job placement.

Rather than ending with life skills training, Blues Truth helps youth move forward with a real pathway. The goal is to ensure participants leave our program with more than knowledge—they leave with connections, resources, and opportunities that can help them begin building a stable and successful future.
